Ka Makana at Hoakalei Design Guidelines, 3.4 FAILURE TO OBTAIN APPROVAL, sec 3.4.1 states, “Written approval from the ARC shall be obtained prior to the start of any work.”   

Ka Makana at Hoakalei Design Guidelines, 3.0 DESIGN REVIEW, section 3.1.3, states, “The ARC has jurisdiction over all construction, additions, alterations or repairs on any portion of Ka Makana be it for individual lots or common area property within Ka Makana.  The ARC is responsible for reviewing and approving/disapproving all applications for construction, additions, modifications, and site improvements visible from streets  or neighboring properties including all improvements to Enclosed Private Yards.”
